Translated literally, the Hindi title of this blog – Jagah Dil Mein Honi Chahiye, means- Space should be in the heart. It’s my favourite phrase, have been using it ever since I was a child, in a way, it defines me, and says- The heart should be big enough to accommodate anything or anyone, why worry about physical space, time, money, or effort needed?
This blog is my ode to the stories I used to read as a kid, in Indrajal Comics, Diamond Comics, Champak, Nandan, Lotpot, Madhu Muskaan, where imagination could run as wild and as free as it wanted to, with no constraints or boundaries of reality to restrict you. If these stories are able to free even one mind and make it soar in unbounded joy once again, I would consider it a deed well done.
Sir , I haven’t read all of your posts , but the ones I read , I loved immensely . Good work there . I’m a lover of Rushdie and Marquez and can vouch for the fact that you do have a knack for storytelling .
Interesting pieces of work.
Found your take on doe quite interesting. Maybe it should be sung by Ray Charles in the rain.
Ha ha ha ha. Yeah, a background theme score would be very powerful when our heroine is building up courage to take on the hunter 🙂
This brings on nostalgia. Lovely intro …… and very apt.
Welcome. 🙂
Thank you so much yarnspinnerr. Need all the encouragement I can get 🙂
Always Welcome. I too have cardiomegaly. 🙂
Nice intro. In your list of childhood stories, you missed out amar chitra katha, chandamama and tinkle. Not a fan?
Of course a fan, random exclusion, will correct it pronto. Thanks.
Love your stories!
Thank you so much rugby843 🙂
how could you forget tinkle? weren’t you a fan of shikari shambu and suppandi? nice intro and surprising that u left the giant for your passion.. Aging Wisdom indeed.. welcome to 40s club:)
Thank you so much
What you express about making someone happy is also a reflection of what I believed about when I started writing poetry… If one person likes what I had/have written (even if not or especially not me) then what I wrote was worth the space of the ink it took to write.
May we both continue to delight others with our writing. Cheers to you my writing friend!
I started writing in the tale end of the 1960’s – most of my tomes have not seen light of day.
Blogging for these last few years (or five) have widened the audience and introduce me to so many wonderful writers. Though is 60 the new 40? 😉
However I wouldn’t change the past, because it all has brought me to where I am now. And the future – that is still a wondrous mystery. 🙂

Hi, Anurag
My name is Tanmay Jain I am a big follower of your writings. Especially the twisty flash-fiction
With that in mind, I’m arranging a flash-fiction collaboration with more flash-fiction writers and I would love for you and your amazing skills to be a part of it.
If you’re interested or need more info, contact me here – tanmayj143@gmail.com
Thank you so much for the kind words Tanmay. yes, sure, I can explore this further. The only concern is that I’m hardly getting time to write on my blog nowadays because of multiple parallel projects. So I’m not sure how much justice I’ll be able to do to this.
