To Catch a Train

PHOTO PROMPT © Sandra Crook

The train slowed down as it reached the platform, and then suddenly picked up speed again.

“Nooooooo…” Iain cried out, as he started running alongside the train desperately.

Suddenly, one of the train’s doors opened, and Iain was pulled onto the train.

“Thanks….” said Iain, panting heavily, “what time do we reach Glasgow?”

Getting no response, Iain looked up, only to see two boys dressed in a strange school uniform, goggling at him.

One of them spoke up to the other now, “You know Ron, I don’t think this is our new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.”

That really only leaves them two choices: throw him from the train at speed, or use the obliviatus spell

Is this our Iain? I’m sure it’s not the day he’d planned for himself. Good one.

What has Iain stumbled on. Perhaps he will learn a trick or two.

  13. Good story, well written, Anurag. Iain wouldn’t like that job. Those teachers don’t last more than one year and it can be fatal. 🙂 — Suzanne

Ian is on wrong train or in wrong company. Poor Ian, this happens when you don’t reach station on time.

  17. I wonder why they thought he was their Defence against dark arts teacher in the first place? Whatever his expectations, Iain is up for a treat.
