PHOTO PROMPT © Dale Rogerson

I stared ceaselessly at the building from way down below

Waiting for her visage to finally appear at the window

The heavy snowfall and the dark, moonless night

Together made me feel that my chances were not too bright.

But instead of choosing to lie down and mope

I kept my chin up, not for a moment losing hope

Just then, I caught a glimpse of her, even in the dark, looking radiant, almost glittering

And as she threw the garbage bag onto the street, I shouted, “Dale Rogerson, I hereby fine you 50 dollars for littering!”

96 words.

Dale is going to kill me for this!

Written as a part of Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields (more details HERE). The challenge is to write a story in 100 words or less, inspired by the weekly photo prompt. To read many more stories based on this week’s prompt, visit HERE.

In other news, my second collection of short stories is out now, available on various platforms globally, including Amazon (Kindle), Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Barnes & Noble (Nook), and Scribd.

This link will take you to all the options for buying the book.
