I stared ceaselessly at the building from way down below
Waiting for her visage to finally appear at the window
The heavy snowfall and the dark, moonless night
Together made me feel that my chances were not too bright.
But instead of choosing to lie down and mope
I kept my chin up, not for a moment losing hope
Just then, I caught a glimpse of her, even in the dark, looking radiant, almost glittering
And as she threw the garbage bag onto the street, I shouted, “Dale Rogerson, I hereby fine you 50 dollars for littering!”
