I hunted around for a coin, but nothing….I was as broke as I’d been this morning.

“Wouldn’t happen to have a quarter on ya, would ya?” I asked the girl.

The unreasonable brat just stared at me.

How on earth was I supposed to contact her Dad for ransom if I couldn’t call him up?
