There was nary a dry eye in the gathering, as we looked at our fallen brother. He’d made the supreme sacrifice, so that we could live on.
With no demand for our thread in these modern times, we’d barely been able to keep production running. Our families were perishing of hunger, and we were helpless.
It was then that one brave warrior arose, and saved us all.
He suffered the horrible aftereffects of radioactive exposure, and died a painful death, but not before he had bitten Peter Parker, and given birth to Spider-Man…ensuring unlimited lifetime demand for our thread.
