As Joy walked purposefully towards the Marina through the deserted, semi-lit streets of the town, she looked at the bundle wrapped tightly around her chest.
That swish set in those multi-million dollar luxury yachts would be fast asleep by now, with not a worry in the world. She knew the had been partying till the wee hours of the morning, and had called it a night less than an hour ago.
Not Joy though. She had other things to take care of.
Reaching the center of the Marina, Joy paused for a second. Maybe these people didn’t deserve it. But then, she thought about all that had happened, all the torture….and her face became like ice, as she pressed something on the bundle.
And as the sound of the loud, ear-splitting bawling of the baby swept through the Marina, Joy started laughing maniacally. They’d not allowed her or her baby to sleep the entire night with their raucous revelries, they would now know how it felt when the shoe was on the other foot!

Ah, the baby is the bomb! Nice revenge!
Thank you so much Joe
Haha, I have been on both sides of that predicament!
Ha!
A disturbing story, as there might be so many possible reasons for this girl to loose control
In my head, it was just the pressure of trying to make her baby sleep while the tourists kept partying noisily outside
You did a good job of throwing us off the scent there – I definitely thought it was a bomb! Great tale of revenge, but I feel a but sorry for that poor, poked about baby!
Ha ha ha, thank you so much Lynn.
My pleasure
