And so it was that I reached the most beautiful place that had ever existed across the realms of men, elves, and dwarfs. The thick foliage of red leaves presented a vivid contrast to the grey & green mossy stones being fed by the small waterfall. Like every day, I almost pinched myself to check if I was dreaming. But no, of course not, no dream could possibly be this stunning.
I suddenly snapped out of my reverie as I heard a slight rustle. I quickly hid myself behind a tree, even though I did not need to. It was her, the one whose ethereal beauty had kept me awake since days. And the reason why I was here today, at this early hour.
Unaware that I was watching her, she slowly started undressing, singing a lilting melody that somehow made the moss seem greener, the fallen leaves seem redder, and the falling water seem musical. Her voice was truly bewitching, and I automatically started walking towards her.
“Who’s that?” she asked in an angry, yet scintillating voice.
Her tone was so compelling that I almost blurted out my name. But somehow, I stopped myself just in time, and waited. I knew she would look around, wait for a while, and start taking a bath.
She did the same thing everyday.
Ever since we had taken refuge in her forest during our quest.
Ever since I first lay my eyes on her and the world stopped spinning, and my heart started beating louder than a herd of stampeding oliphaunts.
Ever since I realized that even the magnificent Galadriel, queen of the Elves, could not see me when I was wearing the one ring to rule them all!

Note: I deeply apologize to all the lovers of Tolkien and his Middle Earth. I’m one of them myself but this is where the photo took me, and stories, as I keep on saying, have a life of their own, so I am not to blame 🙂
Tut tut, Mr Frodo…
Naughty, naughty.
Ha ha ha, thank you so much Sarah
Good one. If Netflix had this script, they would have introduced a cannibal serial-killer preying on such bathing beauties. They would kill her and have her for breakfast. And the FBI would be frantically looking for this killer, matching finger-prints and evaluating forensic reports.
Ha ha ha, thank you so much
Aaah, a magical story that begs for more! I’m a Tolkien fan too. 🙂
Thank you so much
