The Visitor

It had been an arduous journey, and I had faced countless perils to reach here. But now, when I was finally at his house, my courage seemed to have deserted me.

He was such a big man, and I, so little. Still, he had called me his friend, and invited me to his place. I decided to surprise him an year later, but now, I wasn’t so sure.

Suddenly, the door opened and a woman peeped out, making my decision for me. I puffed out my chest, and in my loudest voice, said, “Excuse me, is Mr. Gulliver home?”
