Every 4th of July, Mom loves telling us the story of the day she first met Dad.
Mom had gone to see the carnival when she heard a wolf-whistle. She quickly turned around angrily, only to find a huge man leering at her. She had never felt so handicapped by her pencil-thin figure.
It was then that a sailor pushed her gently aside, and hit the ruffian so hard that he FLEW up, leaving behind just an artificial leg in a boot.

Mom rushed into the sailor’s arms, and whimpered, “How can I ever thank you Mr…..”
Dad replied, “Popeye.”

This was one of the sweetest stories I have read in just 100 words. Well done!
Thank you so much Shivam.
Cartoons are SO violent
They are, they are. There’s so much talk about the violence in Tom & Jerry and its influence on kids, but I guess that’s what made them so much fun 🙂
