The Freedom Fighter

The rising sun filled my heart with dread.

I couldn’t wait any longer. I looked at my formidable enemy once again, and knew I didn’t stand a chance. But I had to try and rescue my family from his clutches.

“For freedom,” I shouted, as I charged headlong into the dreamcatcher.

276 characters. PHEW!

This was probably the most challenging mashup I’ve ever attempted. 280 characters, with two challenges, so obviously it took me more than an hour to plod through these characters, with countless rewrites πŸ™‚

The two challenges are:

1)Β Sue Vincent’s #writephotoΒ

2) Kat Myrman’sΒ Twittering Tales #88 – 12 June 2018 – Dreamcatcher

I saw the tag humour before reading it and was less surprised than usual with your brilliant twists. Great job combining those two challenges.

Haha…loved your “PHEW!” My feelings exactly as I tweak and re-tweak in the rewrite in the character count tool. But oh so satisfying when you actually have a story at the end of it all. Well done. You managed the impossible! πŸ™‚
