Plant People – #AtoZChallenge #BlogchatterA2Z

I was on my way back home when I realized that a new family had moved into the neighborhood. Freshly painted house, huge glass windows, and a majestic wooden door, on which were hanging the most beautiful flowers I’d ever seen.

Almost by instinct, I stopped to admire the flowers. The owners of the house must be ‘Plant people’, I thought to myself, kind and gentle souls who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Moving closer to the flowers now, I was soon lost in their redolence. I was at so much peace, that I didn’t even realize when the door opened, and a cute little girl came out. The girl looked at me, and her eyes widened with joy. Awwwe, I said to myself, they are indeed kindred spirits.

Excited now, I had just started to introduce myself, when BAM!, a heavy blow fell on my back, and I fell on the floor. And just before I lost consciousness, I heard the girl cry out, “Mommy, get me a string quickly, I’ve just captured a dragonfly.”

This is also my entry for the #AtoZChallenge and #BlogchatterA2Z. Today’s letter was P, which, in my story, stands for Plant People.
