Too Hot to Handle – #AtoZChallenge #BlogchatterA2Z

The minute I saw her, I knew she was hiding something.

“I saw a man exercising in the sun, Mom,” she responded to my accusatory look, “he was so hot, eight-pack abs, rippling biceps, …I just couldn’t resist it, and wrapped myself around his sinewy body. His muscular arms gripped me tight, I felt I would explode, and then…you know…”

“You idiot,” I shouted, “you are supposed to take precautions.”

“Sorry Mom, blame it on the sun,” she replied, and then, took a loud burp.

Being the mother of a teenage anaconda can be extremely frustrating at times.

99 words.

Written as a part of the Carrot Ranch Literary Community Flash Fiction Challenge. The objective is to write a story based on the weekly prompt in exactly 99 words. The Carrot Ranch story challenge for this week, in the host Charli Mill’s own words, was:

April 5, 2018, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a silly sun story. Up north, “sun silly” is the energetic and playful response to returning sunlight. It could also be an April Fool’s jest, a silly story, or a reaction to spring fever. Be silly and write playfully! Go where the prompt leads.

This is also my entry for the #AtoZChallenge and the #BlogchatterA2Z challenge. The alphabet for today is H, which, in my story, stands for ‘Hot‘.
