Alex’s Morning Walk

Alex left for his morning constitutional at the crack of dawn at usual. He was sauntering along jauntily when suddenly, he chanced upon a cute little winding road. It seemed to be saying- Come, try me.

His mum had always warned him- Never get off the beaten path.

He had followed her advice religiously till now, but it was as if he was spellbound. His feet got on to the road, and he started walking down the wooden path.

He was happy….why hadn’t he tried this before? He silently cursed his mum for keeping him bereft of this life-changing experience. Lost in these thoughts, he took a turn, and BAM!…banged straight into an oncoming cyclist.

Both of them tumbled badly on to the road.

Alex got up first, and walked towards the man to offer help, but strangely, the man turned around and started running away from him.

Alex shrugged and got off the road now. Mum had been right, we should stick to the beaten path in life.

Meanwhile, the cyclist was still running like a madman, looking behind repeatedly to see whether the tiger that he had bumped into was following him or not.
