“Which dinosaur of these two is more powerful?”
“The one on the right.”
“Which one is more graceful?”
“The one on the right.”
“Which one is a better hunter?”
“The one on the right.”
“Which one is more impressive?”
“The one on the right.”
“In a winner-takes-all fight, which one would you bet on?”
“The one on the right.”
“In a crunch situation, which dinosaur would you want on your side?”
“The one on the right.”
“If that is the case my love,” I said, turning towards my wife, “why are you forcing me to go on that stupid keto diet? You don’t want me to lose all the fat that I’ve earned through so much effort since childhood, and become like that loser dinosaur on the left, do you?”
The conversation reverberated in my mind again and again as I stood alone on the lonely bus-stop for my third change of buses for reaching home. Remind me never to ‘win’ an argument by being a smart-ass when my wife has the car keys.
