The Proposal

She knew she should look back at least once, for it would raise his spirits after being turned down by her, she so wanted to, but she could not.

This was not the first time he had proposed to her, and like every time, she had been forced to break his heart gently, with a seriousness that befitted the solemnity of the occasion.

But she also knew that if she looked back, she would not be able to hold back her emotions for long….and would burst out into peals of laughter at the two year old baby horse George who wanted to go out for an ice cream date with her!

  2. Cute story. Did you say this was your first time doing 3LineTales? If so, welcome! There are a lot of flash fiction photo prompt groups out there, but this one is my favorite. There’s something about having a sentence limit rather than a word count.
